Sanskrit for Yoga Teachers
Sanskrit has functioned for nearly five thousand years as the language of classical Indian literature – both secular and religious. Knowledge of Sanskrit provides the key to a first-hand understanding of classical Hindu religion and philosophy and it is also an important language for the study of Buddhism. The aim of this workshop is to acquaint the student with the structure of the Sanskrit language, the basics of classical Sanskrit grammar, and its centrality for the use of mantras and in a theology of sound.
